Micah Crandall-Bear is a local Sacramento painter I've been a fan of for years. His blending color work has always reminded me of specific ocean scenes and the interplay of light throughout the day. Photographers are keen to the fact that over the course of just a few hours, the same landscape can change endlessly given the light. The smallest detail can anchor a whole scene to that memory - and Micah is a master at connecting brush strokes to the recollection of physical places.
